The HoldUp is one of the strongest, most versatile, and best designed bike racks available. It now also comes with side-to-side adjustability, meaning less bike-to-bike interference. Plus its StrongArm system allows for no frame contact when securing your bikes, making it a great choice for carbon frame bikes or anyone who has concerns about damage in transit. It's also quite a handsome bike carrier, with nice finishes and high-quality materials.
The HoldUp carries two bikes out of the box, and it can be extended to accommodate four bikes with the optional HoldUp +2.
Versatility is one of its defining features, it takes nearly all bikes with 20inch to 29inch wheels and almost any size or shape of frame, whether you have a bike with disc brakes, thru axles or full suspension bikes. However, please note that it will NOT accept bikes with tyres wider than 2.4inch in a 29inch spec bike, and 3inch maximum tyre width in a 27.5inch spec bike. If you have a 29in bike with wider tires, the Yakima HoldUp EVO would likely suit your needs.
It has moveable trays to adjust bike positions, and the StrongArm design also avoids any frame contact by securing just the front wheel. Maximum weight limit is 27.3kgs per bike, with a maximum wheelbase of 122cm. This impressive weight capacity also makes the HoldUp one of the few bicycle carriers more suited to carrying E-Bikes.
Another great feature is the ability to tilt the carrier while loaded, for more convenient rear access than some other bike carrier options available.
The HoldUp also folds flat against your vehicle when not in use so it's out of the way, plus it comes with integrated locks for both the carrier and bikes, which can be matched to other Yakima products for single key convenience. The cable locks for your bikes also retract neatly into the carrier after use, altogether this gives the HoldUp excellent security features. It comes out of the box requiring very minimal assembly so you can be out on the trails even quicker, installation is a 25 minute job and all necessary tools are included. Please refer to the video and fitting instructions for further details.
This isn't the cheapest bike carrier around, but you really do get a true gem with the HoldUp, it's among the best bike carrier choices when you consider all of its features, its price, and quality, plus it's covered by Yakima's lifetime warranty.

There are no deliveries made on Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays by our couriers.
Typically, We will despatch orders the next working day. Orders placed on Friday will generally be despatched the following work day which would be Monday of the following or the next working day. Orders placed 1 day prior or on the same day as a public holiday will be despatched the next working day.
No retailer or courier company can ever "guarantee" a next working day delivery.
All courier companies occasionally have the same transport problems that can happen to everyone, inclusive of but not limited to: snow blocked roads, closed roads, traffic jams, mechanical breakdown, an inability to find the delivery address or to gain access to it if, for example, it's in a block of flats. We work with some of the best couriers in the business, and overall they provide an outstanding service.
Please note that we cannot be held responsible for the consequences of any delay caused by the failure of our contracted couriers to fulfil their obligations, although we will always do all that is reasonable to provide the goods by the time required. Please also note that the percentage of delayed deliveries is very small, and the percentage of items lost in transit is all but non-existent.
