Details

Yakima have improved an already brilliant design with the new HighRoad V2. The new design can accommodate longer wheel bases up to 1320mm and has revised siver graphics for a more modern look.

The HighRoad features one of the easiest bike mounting systems we've seen. Featuring an aerodynamic front which reduces wind noise, plus a fully integrated TorqueRight knob. You can mount your bike upright, without the need for wheel removal, and the TorqueRight tightening knob allows ultra secure and easy loading of almost all bike types.

It has an included TailWhip cable lock, plus a lock loop to allow you to use your existing bike lock for additional peace of mind. Please note the SKS Lock Core 2 Pack needed to secure the TailWhip are not included with this product. You can also key alike all your Yakima products by purchasing lock cores separately. Please contact us for more information on key matching.

The beauty of this design lies in its ability to secure the bike by the wheels only, and the fact that the mount will hold it in place for you while you manoeuvre and lock the bike in place. This means that you will never have to worry about marking your frame, and loading is an easy one person job.

The HighRoad allows a broader range of tire widths to fit the mount, from only 23mm up to 4-inch-wide tyre will fit. It will accommodate wheel bases of up to 1320mm maximum. One thing to note however, is that HighRoad will fit from 26 to 29-inch diameter wheels, while the Yakima FrontLoader will fit smaller wheeled bikes, with wheel diameters ranging from 20 to 29-inches. So if you are wanting to transport kid's bikes you should look to the Yakima FrontLoader for a solution. The reason that Yakima have done this is to simplify the design, with one less adjustable and therefore wearing part. The Highroad has an on-road weight limit of 20.4kg, allowing for most types of standard bikes to be carried, and an off-road tested weight limit of 12.2kg per bike.

The HighRoad also features a lower profile tray to further minimize interference with high lift hatches, for improved aerodynamics, and further wind noise reduction.

Installing the new HighRoad is an easy job with no tools needed. The universal mounting hardware will fit most roof rack manufacturer's designs. It also now has the added ability to fit T-slot crossbars with the addition of a Smart T-Slot kit. Please refer to the instructions below for more details about installation.

Typically, We will despatch orders the next working day. Orders placed on Friday will generally be despatched the following work day which would be Monday of the following or the next working day. Orders placed 1 day prior or on the same day as a public holiday will be despatched the next working day.

No retailer or courier company can ever "guarantee" a next working day delivery.

All courier companies occasionally have the same transport problems that can happen to everyone, inclusive of but not limited to: snow blocked roads, closed roads, traffic jams, mechanical breakdown, an inability to find the delivery address or to gain access to it if, for example, it's in a block of flats. We work with some of the best couriers in the business, and overall they provide an outstanding service.

Please note that we cannot be held responsible for the consequences of any delay caused by the failure of our contracted couriers to fulfil their obligations, although we will always do all that is reasonable to provide the goods by the time required. Please also note that the percentage of delayed deliveries is very small, and the percentage of items lost in transit is all but non-existent.
