If you don't have a towing hitch or roof rack system a boot or hatch mounted bike carrier can be a great option, Thule's Outway Platform rack is one of the best of this type available. This model allows you to have a solid mounting for your bikes with frame clamps as well as wheel trays to ensure your bike won't go anywhere. The advantage of this model over the others in the Outway range is that your number plate and rear lights remain visible with the rack fitted, the disadvantage is that you will need to lift your bikes onto the carrier and it may affect the height clearance of your vehicle.
The load is supported by the steel top cables, these will never break, ensuring peace of mind. Next is their easy mounting with their new simple user interface and automatic torque limiting tightening system, this takes the guesswork out of fitting. Additionally its twin hook mounts and rubber protection pads which will protect your vehicle's finish while also ensuring a solid attachment point. Your bikes are secured via their frame with easily adjustable and removable frame clamps with padding to reduce the chances of marking your bike's frame, however, we don't recommend this style of carrier for carbon bikes as it may mark the sensitive finish. Locks are also included to secure both your bikes to the rack and your rack to your vehicle. These locks can be key matched with your other Thule products to allow you to have a single key convenience for all your accessories by purchasing lock cores separately.
The Outway Platform model fits a wide range of bike types and sizes, its adjustable frame grab arms allow most frame styles to be fitted plus it can accomodate frame diameters ranging from 22mm to 80mm, wheel bases up to a maximum of 1270mm, and tires up to 3in wide. Bear in mind though not all types and sizes of bikes will be suitable for this carrier, so please ensure you check before purchasing.
The carrier folds down when not in use for easier transport and storage. Plus it only weighs in at 12.5kg, making it easy to handle for most users.

This carrier is not a universal fit and will not fit all vehicles, please check Thule Buyer Guide to ensure it fits your vehicle before ordering.
These style of carriers are generally only used when towball, hitch or roof mounts are not an option. Please be aware that they are in direct contact with the paint and bodywork of your car. You will need to keep your vehicle clean to avoid potential scuffing of paintwork.
Bear in mind that some vehicles may not be able to open the hatch whilst the carrier is mounted.

There are no deliveries made on Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays by our couriers.
Typically, We will despatch orders the next working day. Orders placed on Friday will generally be despatched the following work day which would be Monday of the following or the next working day. Orders placed 1 day prior or on the same day as a public holiday will be despatched the next working day.
No retailer or courier company can ever "guarantee" a next working day delivery.
All courier companies occasionally have the same transport problems that can happen to everyone, inclusive of but not limited to: snow blocked roads, closed roads, traffic jams, mechanical breakdown, an inability to find the delivery address or to gain access to it if, for example, it's in a block of flats. We work with some of the best couriers in the business, and overall they provide an outstanding service.
Please note that we cannot be held responsible for the consequences of any delay caused by the failure of our contracted couriers to fulfil their obligations, although we will always do all that is reasonable to provide the goods by the time required. Please also note that the percentage of delayed deliveries is very small, and the percentage of items lost in transit is all but non-existent.
