The MonoRail Solo will carry a single bike weighing up to 27kg and snugly lock in tyre sizes from road bike sizes to fat bikes (5in max). It also accommodates wheel diameters from 20in to 29in and wheelbases of 86cm up to 124.5cm. This makes it incredibly versatile, with the ability to carry kids bikes, carbon road bikes, downhill bikes, e-bikes and even fat bikes.
Due to the wheel clamp design with no frame contact it's a go-to for carbon bike owners, but it's also generally kinder to the finish on all bikes.
It has a tilt function for rear vehicle access with your bike loaded, and can fold flat against the back of your vehicle when not in use. If you decide you need to take two bikes along you can add the RockyMounts MonoRail Add-On which is sold separately. Bear in mind when using the add-on you will lower the weight limit to 20kg per bike, which is still more than enough for most of us.
Security hasn't been forgotten either, with a locking hitch pin plus a cable lock to ensure both the carrier and your bike won't go astray when unattended.
Fitting is a relatively simple task, plus this carrier can fit both 1.25inch and 2inch hitch receivers out of the box, please refer to the instructions for more information.
For vehicles that have a rear mounted spare tire, a recessed hitch, or vans Rockymounts also provide the option of the Rockymounts Hitch Extension which provides an additional 8inches of clearance.
For safety and legal compliance it's recommended to use a lightboard with your rear mounted bike carrier, the Rockymounts LED licence plate holder is a great option but you'll need the Monorail LED lightboard bracket kit for a perfect fit, sold separately.

Note that this carrier is not for use with fender equipped bicycles, or on Class I hitch receivers.

There are no deliveries made on Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays by our couriers.
Typically, We will despatch orders the next working day. Orders placed on Friday will generally be despatched the following work day which would be Monday of the following or the next working day. Orders placed 1 day prior or on the same day as a public holiday will be despatched the next working day.
No retailer or courier company can ever "guarantee" a next working day delivery.
All courier companies occasionally have the same transport problems that can happen to everyone, inclusive of but not limited to: snow blocked roads, closed roads, traffic jams, mechanical breakdown, an inability to find the delivery address or to gain access to it if, for example, it's in a block of flats. We work with some of the best couriers in the business, and overall they provide an outstanding service.
Please note that we cannot be held responsible for the consequences of any delay caused by the failure of our contracted couriers to fulfil their obligations, although we will always do all that is reasonable to provide the goods by the time required. Please also note that the percentage of delayed deliveries is very small, and the percentage of items lost in transit is all but non-existent.
