What happens when you combine the swing away base from the Rockymounts BackStage with the innovative modern platform from the GuideRail? You get the AfterParty! Rockymounts have combined the best features of two of their best carriers to make this latest rack, the AfterParty. It's a great option for Vans, utes and SUV's when you want maximum access to the rear of your vehicle.
Like its cousin the GuideRail, it has dual wheel grab arms to secure your bike to the carrier, allowing for zero frame contact and maximum grip for your bike while on the move. The design is also cutting edge, with a minimalist modern vibe that will compliment most newer cars.
The wide loading platform combined with the wheel grab arm mounting method allows you to position your bikes assymetrically on the carrier so you can avoid bike to bike contact easily.
To access the rear of your vehicle you have two options, the carrier can tilt down 30 degrees to quickly grab something out of the boot, or you can swing it out a full 180 degrees for maximum access, and either option can be done with bikes loaded. When you're not using it the rack can also fold up flat against the back of the vehicle to get it out of the way.
It also accommodates a huge range of bikes, with allowance for tires ranging from 19mm road bike tires right up to 3in wide bike tyres, with wheel diameters from 20in to 29in, and wheel bases ranging from 91cm up to 139cm. The weight capacity of each tray is 27kg, which is plenty to allow you to carry even most e-bikes.
One thing to note is that this carrier is not expandable, and is not compatible with the GuideRail 1 bike add-on despite the similarities in design.
For security the Afterparty includes a lock for the hitch to secure the carrier to your vehicle and also a thick chain lock for your bikes. It's recommended that you don't use the bike lock though while underway as it can damage finishes with rubbing, it's reserved for use when you stop the vehicle and go for a wander.
Fitting this carrier is very straightforward but please note that it only fits 2inch (50mm) hitches. Please refer to the instructions for more information on installation, use, and assembly.
For vehicles that have a rear mounted spare tire, a recessed hitch, or vans, Rockymounts also provide the option of the Rockymounts Hitch Extension which provides an additional 8inches of clearance. To check whether your vehicle needs the extender please measure the distance from the pin-hole near the end of your hitch to your needed clearance point and check it against the Rockymounts dimensions chart.
For safety and legal compliance it's recommended to use a lightboard with your rear mounted bike carrier, the Rockymounts LED licence plate holder is a great option but you'll need the AfterParty LED lightboard bracket kit for a perfect fit, sold separately.
Unfortunately, bikes with fenders are not suitable for use with this rack.

There are no deliveries made on Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays by our couriers.
Typically, We will despatch orders the next working day. Orders placed on Friday will generally be despatched the following work day which would be Monday of the following or the next working day. Orders placed 1 day prior or on the same day as a public holiday will be despatched the next working day.
No retailer or courier company can ever "guarantee" a next working day delivery.
All courier companies occasionally have the same transport problems that can happen to everyone, inclusive of but not limited to: snow blocked roads, closed roads, traffic jams, mechanical breakdown, an inability to find the delivery address or to gain access to it if, for example, it's in a block of flats. We work with some of the best couriers in the business, and overall they provide an outstanding service.
Please note that we cannot be held responsible for the consequences of any delay caused by the failure of our contracted couriers to fulfil their obligations, although we will always do all that is reasonable to provide the goods by the time required. Please also note that the percentage of delayed deliveries is very small, and the percentage of items lost in transit is all but non-existent.
