Alternatively the offset bracket provides for mounting outside the platform area in multiple locations. Install your light of choice into the bracket and it's as easy as mounting the bracket and tightening the bolts.

The rubber inserts sit above the top of the cross bar and provide a soft surface to protect items that are stored on the roof rack and also prevent items moving around.
